Unemployment is a big issue in the U.S. today, especially in the presidential elections. It effects the economy because many people will rely on the government and they will not be able to contribute with the economy like they're suppose to. The real main problem is if the government should be involved in the situation. By being involved I mean they need to help create sustainable jobs. Unemployed citizens are desperately wanting a job just so they can have enough to survive. Families are struggling, they experience reductions in income and well-being each year because of temporary and/or long-term interruptions to earnings. Since earnings provide the largest source of income for most families, the onset of unemployment occasions an immediate and unanticipated reduction in income. This causing them to suffer through a rough time and it effects the economy negatively.
